Traditional Japanese Martial Arts
For Children And Adults - Train with the Spirit of a Warrior
What are the Benefits of Training? Training in this art will improve your fitness level, provide cardiovascular, resistance, stamina, flexibility, coordination and balance benefits. Discipline and Focus are achieved and enhanced through the process of training, and a sense of well-being and improved balance within one's life can be achieved, as one learns to walk with more confidence in one's ability for self defense.
This applies to both adults and children.
Our children's program achieves these goals by design, while keeping the pace and experience challenging, fun, rewarding and interactive for our students. You and your children will see outstanding benefits, increasing "Discipline, Confidence, Focus and Strength" while having fun and enjoying the process!
The Art
Ten-Chi-Wa TaiJutsu
(Traditional Japanese Warrior Art)
The History of this Art dates back to Feudal Japan, to the ancient scrolls of both the Ninja and Samurai families, and is being taught in direct lineage from Sensei Chadwick Minge, who was a direct student of Grandmaster Shoto Tanemura in Japan – recognized as one of the legitimate heirs of the ancient scrolls.
Ten-Chi-Wa Taijutsu (Translated to: Heaven, Earth & Harmony body techniques) is comprised of many different family systems, called Ryu-Ha, from the traditional Samurai Arts. Our Art is not dependent upon speed, strength, flexibility, size or gender. Ten-Chi-Wa Taijutsu is a comprehensive Art unto itself. It is derived from the foundation of all Japanese Arts, Ninpo Taijutsu, it includes, but is not limited to:
Unbalancing Arts – Striking Arts – Throwing Arts – Pressure Points – Joint Manipulations –
Tumbling/Acrobatics – Locks/Restraints – Escapes and Reversals
This art is taught both as Karate (meaning unarmed, empty hand techniques) And also with traditional and non-traditional weapons.
For the adult, we offer a multi-faceted Martial Art, taught using a traditional training format. In the comprehensive system of Ten-Chi-Wa Taijutsu, students learn the striking arts of Dakentai-jutsu, the throwing arts of Jutai-jutsu, the breaking art of Koppo-Jutsu, and the use of pressure points found in the art of Koshi-Jutsu.
We also offer a traditional Japanese Weapons class for adult students who wish to explore and train with traditional weapons.
Our youth program is based on the traditional Japanese Warriors’ Arts, with a focus on respect, self discipline and dedication to purpose as well as supporting the all around development of your child. We stress the importance of accepting responsibility of one’s actions, respect, and service to one's community.
All of our programs are designed to respect history, tradition, and the foundation of the Martial Arts, while yielding real-life self defense skills for modern times.
We believe in the union of Mind, Body and Spirit
We teach the Spirit of the Defensive Heart
